2010 Nebbiolo

The 2010 Nebbiolo is a wine of remarkable depth and beauty. I aged the wine an extra year in puncheon and the effect is outstanding. The wine showcases all the classic characteristics of an aged nebbiolo. 11% of the 2011 Nebbiolo was added to bring freshness and another dimension to the wine. Its intoxicating aromatics open up with cinnamon, nutmeg, dried flowers and leather. Flavors of black cherries, licorice, nutmeg and clove with an earthy, leathery background continue with pleasant acidity and well-structured tannins. The finish is long and silky. This wine will complement a great variety of foods and age wonderfully for many years to come.
